Dean Schirm is a Solutions Engineer focused on Autodesk Smoke. In his thirteen year tenure at Autodesk,
he has helped numerous network, broadcast, film and post production firms develop and deploy best practices for transitioning to a digital workflow. He is known as the guy that answers his phone and email around the clock. Prior to joining Autodesk he worked in the recording industry as an engineer and artist for 15 years. He then moved in to broadcast television, starting as a news photographer and moving into the Production Manager position. After 8 years in broadcast production he moved into a 7 year stint in post-production as a senior editor / production manager.
